Description
Birdwatching, or Birding, consists of observing bird colonies and their behavior, using binoculars, involving movement in nature or travel by rowboat, depending on the natural environment targeted.
In addition to enriching their knowledge about less accessible nature and visiting protected areas, participants will also benefit from moderate physical exercise.
An expedition on the canals and lakes of the Danube Delta, to watch and photograph bird colonies, the opportunity to be part of this wonderful ecosystem, crossing it slowly with rowing boats, without a negative impact on the environment. You can reach all kinds of nooks and crannies of the Delta, where large boats cannot enter, on expanses of water lilies or bird colonies.
Even if it is only a 1-day tour, it will be an opportunity to familiarize yourself with this special landscape.
Rowboats remain the most environmentally friendly means of transportation, in contrast to the high-powered speedboats increasingly used by tourists who come to visit the Delta.
In addition to the fauna and landscapes encountered, kayaking remains a captivating sport, an exercise in endurance and navigation, being highly recommended for those who want to improve their muscle tone and physical condition.

Participare
Anyone over the age of 14 can participate in birdwatching tours, regardless of physical condition or experience in this sport.
It is not mandatory for participants to have minimal swimming skills. The equipment provides buoyancy, regardless of weight.
The participation voucher can be purchased from the store in advance, by following the steps on the "Book now" button.
Groups of at least 10 paying guests can request a canoe and kayak trip to the Danube Delta or Lake Techirghiol, on any day/period of the season.

We recommend that you do not burden your luggage with excess clothing or unnecessary accessories in such a situation.
Picnic
Mass
Depending on the season and speed of travel, we will set up a picnic spot in the middle of the day.
For lunch, we recommend protein-rich foods with a high energy intake, to support your efforts during the route. Canned beans, peas or lentils, whey cheese, dried salami, dates, halva, bananas, but also some fresh vegetables. It is not advisable to bring excess food, but it is mandatory for each participant to have 3-4 liters of water.
Trasee / Program
1. Danube Delta
The canoe trip will cross a diverse landscape area, located in the south of the Danube Delta. The route will start from Dunavățul de Jos from the public port, and will cross the canals and lakes of this area.
The route is designed to be able to be completed by all participants, with a duration of 4-5 hours of paddling, the tour being interrupted by rest breaks and photo opportunities. The return journey will follow other channels to avoid, as much as possible, going against the current.
Schedule
The program may change depending on the hydro-weather conditions of the respective period.
2. Lake Techirghiol
Lake Techirghiol is a protected area, being a wetland of international importance. The route will include both banks for a distance of about 12 km and the surrounding green areas, where several species of birds nest.
The meeting takes place on the lake shore, on the side with the Eforie Nord resort, from where a good part of the lake is crossed, to the ornithological observatory on the opposite shore, then the colonies on the water and those that stay in isolated clearings.
