A true adventure on the canals and lakes of the Danube Delta, with spacious and maneuverable canoes and kayaks. The ideal opportunity to get to know the delta landscape and the world of water, right in the middle of it.
Canoeing and kayaking are probably the most practical recreational boats, ideal for traversing the canals, ravines and expanses of water of the Delta. With their help, you can reach places where rare species of plants and birds are still found, which you can observe and photograph up close.
Rowboats remain the most environmentally friendly means of transportation, in contrast to the high-powered speedboats increasingly used by tourists who come to visit the Delta, driving away flocks of birds.
Thus, kayakers and canoeists can traverse all the waters of the Delta, without being restricted by the authorities or the flow and depth of the channels. During the canoe trip, most of the Delta's landscapes will be encountered: canals, fields, reed fields, lakes, swampy forests, bird colonies, sand dunes.
In addition to the landscapes encountered, the kayak-canoe tour remains a captivating sport, an exercise in endurance and navigation, being highly recommended for those who want to improve their muscle tone and physical condition.

The campsites will be determined by the Romanian Adventure guides, depending on the conditions encountered in the Delta at that time. On the first day, the camp will be set up on the bank of a canal in an isolated area, and on the second day the group will camp on a wild beach at Perisor. Each participant must have their own camping equipment. For those who request it, we will provide a lightweight tent with instant assembly, sleeping bag and raincoat.
The guide team will provide dinner, dishes prepared in a cauldron (fried fish or fish soup), depending on the time available. Participants will be tasked with helping to catch a sufficient amount of fish.
For the other meals, we recommend protein-rich products with a high energy intake to support your efforts during the route. Canned beans, peas or lentils, whey cheese, dried salami, dates, halva, bananas, but also some fresh vegetables.
It is not advisable to bring excess food, the total weight of the load should be as small as possible, but it is mandatory for each participant to have 5-6 liters of water. Participants will be on the trail for about 4 hours each day, the rounds being interrupted by rest breaks or picnics.
The canoe trip will cross a diverse landscape area, located in the south of the Danube Delta. The route will start from Dunavățul de Jos, crossing canals and lakes to the sea, the final point will be on the beach at Perișor, where the canoe convoy would arrive in the afternoon of the second day.
The route is designed to be completed by all participants, lasting approximately 4 hours each day (days I and II), with the tours being interrupted by rest breaks and photo opportunities.

The program may change depending on the hydro-weather conditions of the respective period.
It's not difficult. Anyone can participate in this adventure, regardless of age, including children.
The pace is slow, with each person paddling according to their own strength, for active relaxation, to be able to admire the landscape and fauna.
This being the main purpose of the trip.
About 90% of the time, you go downstream, with the current of the water, making it easier to move, without too much effort.
A time reserve is provided for the routes, in case of bad weather or unforeseen situations.
It is not dangerous. The movement is done in a column, the kayaks and canoes being framed by the guides. The column is closed by the motorized assistance boat. Here you can find a supply of water and other equipment needed during the day.
In the very rare case of capsizing (1-2 cases per season), this boat becomes a platform for refloating the crew.
In recent years, sailors with powerful boats have become accustomed to the presence of groups of kayaks on the Delta's channels and inevitably reduce speed when encountering them, without making waves.
So there is a whole list of rules and measures taken to keep participants safe throughout the route.
Of course it is!
The trip begins with the preparation and loading of the boat with equipment and supplies, under the guidance of the guides. There is a variety of ways to equip the boat, so that it results in a balanced boat, in terms of position and weight.
Don't worry, these rowing boats have a lifting capacity of between 250-300 kg, depending on the model.
Once properly loaded, the heavy boat becomes very stable compared to an empty one without luggage.
The tour begins with exercises on the water, at the starting point, on the canal where there is no current or traffic. Thus, the crews will practice balance, turns, strokes and stops, following the instructions of the guide team.
The race starts when all the crews have mastered these maneuvers. However, the first few kilometers of the route cross a quiet canal, specially chosen for the participants to escape the initial tension.
